Tidal Energy for good
scope
While many renewable energy sources are weather-dependent and vary greatly over time, there is a natural energy source that is stable – the tides. The currents make the coasts potential batteries, and since they are driven by the moon's gravity, they are easy to predict several months in advance.

NOS vitits SeaQurrent
NOS, the national news network in the Netherlands, recently featured the TidalKite System across multiple platforms, including an article, a radio segment, and a video.
Leveraging our content for SeaQurrent, this media exposure has provided an excellent opportunity to showcase their innovative technology. Notably, the article and video incorporate clips from our film to highlight the features of the TidalKite.

The mission

Swedish Frames strives to become a leader in making complex processes understandable on film, especially within green energy. Therefore, we were particularly delighted by the request from the Dutch company SeaQurrent.
The technical development within SeaQurrent had been ongoing for a long time, and now they wanted to seriously showcase themselves to investors, the media, and the public.
The TidalKite
SeaQurrent's process follows the same principle as a flying kite – but underwater. The TidalKite is anchored to a generator and moves with the currents in a figure-eight pattern while driving the generator.
How does it work? Watch the film. Some processes can be simple, stable, and safe – yet tricky to explain without moving images.
Music – More Than a Feeling

The music is specially composed by Guldbagge-nominated Henrik Lörstad. The tone starts symphonic, then incorporates drums and bass. The underwater feeling is present, as is the tone of heavy mechanics. For Swedish Frames, it has become a hallmark to always use specially composed music for our films.
Film or Branding?

The 3D-rendered images of the TidalKite run as a common thread through the entire company's branding. Film, web, print, and sales materials follow the same graphic manual. The TidalKite has also received a significant facelift with new design, logos, and colors. The collaboration with Swedish Frames has taken SeaQurrent a big step forward visually, strategically, and commercially.
Close Customer Contact

SeaQurrent wanted to be involved in the production process and suggested weekly meetings with the CEO and Marketing Manager. The result has been a film that not only technically meets the customer's expectations but has been crafted under the customer's supervision in every detail.

The collaboration with Dutch SeaQurrent has been the best imaginable!
What's Next?

SeaQurrent is one of the companies striving for new energy production methods on a global scale. They will continue, and they will succeed in reaching their goals. Swedish Frames has completed the majority of its mission. Now it is up to our images and films to deliver!
