showcase Cinis Fertililzer
scope
Agriculture and fertilizer are essential for humanity. At the same time, fertilizer production accounts for significant amounts of greenhouse emissions and energy consumption. Swedish Cinis Fertilizer is launching a completely new method for environmentally friendly production of synthetic fertilizers. And to illustrate it in the best possible way, they chose Swedish Frames.

The mission

Agriculture accounts for about 25% of global greenhouse emissions. The innovative approach from Swedish Cinis Fertilizer is both welcome and necessary. The company's first factory is already operational, the method is proven, and the plans are to scale up production significantly. But how does it work? CINIS requested a clear and easily understandable film about the process.
Natural Salts in Motion

Cinis CEO and founder Jakob Liedberg is himself one of the inventors behind the process. During the work on the animations, Jakob meticulously guided the team to ensure accurate details. At the same time, the chemical process had to be simplified to become comprehensible. It’s all about natural salts in chemical reaction with each other.
Music – More Than a Feeling

The music is specially composed by Guldbagge-nominated Henrik Lörstad.
The tone is simple and playful with accordion, guitar, and bass. Swedish Frames almost always uses specially composed music to perfectly match our films.
"Everyone was especially impressed with the animation, it really turned out fantastic!"

IR, Communications & Marketing Director
Animating with Gravity

The flows of water and salts through CINIS's process are illustrated by animations based on gravity calculations. Artist Samuel Mauritzon spends hours and days on making the flow calculations as accurate as possible – making them look credible. Layers of particles, salts, and liquid are then assembled into complete scenes in the film.
Close Client Contact

The films we create often rely on realistic details, which requires the supervision of the client and experts. The work with CINIS was no exception. Regular checkpoint meetings and close contact with the company's management were prerequisites for delivering exactly the right material on a tight schedule.
Next Steps

CINIS has global ambitions and wants to expand with more facilities outside Sweden's borders. The company has its own agenda for development and scaling up, where Swedish Frames films and animations will play a significant role.
